    How to make clarified butter


     To make clarified butter, gently melt unsalted butter in a heavy saucepan over low heat. Skim off froth (foam) from the surface until remaining melted butter is clear and yellow (do not boil). Strain into an airtight container and let cool. Cover and set aside/refrigerate until ready to use.
