    Fried Fish with Colored Bell Pepper recipe

    Ingredients

    For the pepper mixture
    4 tablespoons almond or olive oil
    5 tablespoons whole seeds (mustard, cumin, fennel, anis, and dry coriander).
    8 garlic gloves, sliced
    1/4 cup green onion, sliced
    3/4 cup colored bell pepper , cubed
    1/4 cup lemon juice
    Salt and pepper

    For the Fish
    3 fishes, medium size
    1 cup flour
    1 teaspoon cumin powder
    1 teaspoon coriander powder
    1 teaspoon ginger powder
    Salt and pepper
    Oil to frying

    Method

    For the pepper mixture
    -Heat oil in a sauce pan over medium heat, add whole seeds, stir until smell comes out and oil absorbs the flavor (be careful not to burn them).
    -Add garlic, stir for 2 min., until golden color.
    -Add onion and colored pepper.
    -Season the mixture with salt and pepper, add lemon juice, and stir.
    -Heat till boil, reduce heat, cover pan, and leave for 5 min., until well combined.
    -Put mixture aside.

    For the Fish
    -Clean fish & Soak it in water (with 4 tablespoons flour, and 1/2 tablespoon salt), drain and dry well.
    -Cut 3 shallow slits through fish skin, about 3 inches apart, on each side of fish using sharp knife.
    -Mix flour in a bowl, with spices.
    -Sprinkle fish with flour, until fully covered, wipe off excess.
    -Heat oil on high heat, deep fry fish remove on paper towel paper to absorb excess oil
    -Serve fish with pepper and spices sauce.
