Hazelnut egg nog Recipe
Ingredients
6 eggs, separated
1/3 cup caster sugar
3 cups hot milk
1 cup hazelnut liqueur (see note)
3/4 cup thickened cream
Ground nutmeg, to serve

Method
Step 1
Using an electric mixer, beat egg yolks and sugar until thick and creamy. Beat in hot milk then liqueur and cream. Set aside.
Step 2
Using an electric mixer, beat egg whites in a bowl until soft peaks form. Fold egg whites into liqueur mixture. Pour into glasses. Sprinkle with nutmeg. Serve warm or cold.
