Mendiants desserts recipes
Method
Step 1
Place the dark chocolate and white chocolate in separate heatproof bowls, then place each over saucepans of barely simmering water (don’t let the bowls touch the water) and stir until the chocolates are melted and smooth. Remove from heat and cool slightly.
Step 2
Line a baking tray with baking paper. Drop teaspoonfuls of dark chocolate onto the baking paper, allowing them to spread out into a flat disc. While still warm, place a small drop of white chocolate in the centre and use a wooden skewer to swirl a decorative pattern. Garnish with gold leaf and petals. Chill for 15 minutes or until set, then serve.
