    Brown wild rice with vegetables recipe


    1 cup wild rice (or long
    -grain brown rice) 1 cup basmati rice 3 tablespoons oil 1 onion, chopped 1/2 cup sweet corn (canned), drained 1/2 cup green beans 1/2 cup carrot, diced, boiled


    - Boil large amount of water in a pot over a medium high heat, season with salt.
    - Add wild rice and boil for about 25 minutes, add basmati rice and boil for about 8 minutes or until cooked.
    - Drain rice, heat oil in a pot over a medium heat.
    - Add onion and stir for few minutes till translucent.
    - Add rice and vegetables, season with salt and stir to combine.
    - Cover and simmer till heated.
    - Serve hot.
